FROM WHO THE BEAT TOLLS
Canibus is a true rap veteran. He has been aggressively laying down conscious rhymes since the mid 90’s and on his latest effort For Whom The Beat Tolls, he continues to give you a piece of his mind. For example, the Jamaican born rapper fiercely vents his frustration about what’s going on in the world with 'One Ought Not To Think' and tells a story of survival on 'Father Author, Poor Pauper'. His solid delivery of painful and agonizing content effectively cuts through the listener and although most of the tracks are serious, he does lightheartedly share his fantasies of seducing female news anchors on 'Dreamzzz'. Still, he means business. Quite simply, Canibus kills every song and it’s clear that the beat tolls for him.
